These calculators are aids to structured thinking, not approval systems. A neat result can still be wrong for the actual process.
Informational and convenience purposes
All tools, explanations, formulas, and outputs are provided for general informational and convenience purposes. They do not constitute engineering, quality, safety, legal, financial, environmental, or other professional advice, and they do not certify a process, product, design, or organization.
Tool-specific risks
- Pace, OEE, capacity, batch, kanban, and line balancing: simplified results may omit variability, blocking, starvation, labor, product mix, downtime, changeovers, yield, ergonomics, and equipment limits.
- Yield and scrap: results do not determine product release, defect severity, inventory value, environmental reporting, or accounting treatment.
- Downtime CSV: parsing and column mapping can misrepresent malformed, localized, incomplete, or ambiguously coded exports. Preserve and reconcile the original file.
- Tolerance stack-up: the model is one-dimensional and does not replace drawing review, GD&T analysis, capability evidence, Monte Carlo analysis, or qualified engineering approval. RSS estimates are not guaranteed limits.
Independent verification
Check input units, data scope, formulas, rounding, assumptions, and output against approved records or an independent calculation. Validate any proposed process change at the workplace and keep required safety, quality, maintenance, training, and regulatory controls in force.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use is at your own risk, subject to non-excludable rights under applicable law.
